What this policy covers

This policy describes qchomeadvisors.com, a website operated by Tim Petrinec, REALTOR®, of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Carolinas Realty. It explains what this site collects, why, who it is shared with, and how to reach us about it.

It does not cover other sites. If you become a client, the documents and information that form part of your transaction are handled under Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Carolinas Realty’s own privacy policy, which is separate from this one and available through the brokerage.

Information you give us

This site has contact and inquiry forms. Depending on which form you use, it may ask for:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• A property address
• Your timeline, situation, or area of interest, usually selected from a menu
• Anything you choose to write in a message or notes field

Where a form asks for a phone number, it also offers an optional box giving permission to call or text you. If you tick it, we record that you did, along with the exact wording you agreed to and when. Ticking it is never required, and leaving it unticked does not affect your inquiry or anything you requested.

You decide what to submit. Nothing on this site requires you to identify yourself in order to read it.

Information collected automatically

When you submit a form, the submission is stored alongside the page you submitted it from and your browser’s user agent string, which identifies your browser and operating system. Neither is something you type.

This site uses Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages people read and how they arrive. Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies in your browser, named _ga and _ga_3T9R82B41C. Google may process your IP address as part of providing that service.

This site does not currently display a cookie consent banner, so analytics runs from the moment a page loads. You can block or delete these cookies through your browser settings, or install Google’s own browser opt-out extension.

Third-party services on this site

Several services load in your browser when you use this site. Each has its own privacy policy, and we do not control what they collect.

• Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4. Site-wide. Analytics and measurement.
• Google Fonts. Site-wide. Typefaces.
• Testimonial Tree. Home page only. Displays verified client reviews.
• Mapbox. Neighborhood pages only. Renders neighborhood boundary maps.
• ShowingTime, via Canopy MLS. Neighborhood pages only. Six embedded market charts per page. These load inside their own frames, so they operate under their own policy and we cannot see or control what they set.
• jsDelivr. Some pages. Serves an icon typeface.

Property listing data comes from Canopy MLS through MLS Grid. Listing photographs are fetched by our own server and re-served from this domain, so your browser never connects directly to the MLS photo service while browsing listings.

How we use your information

To respond to your inquiry, to provide whatever you requested, and to follow up about your real estate goals. Aggregated analytics data is used to understand which content is useful and what to build next.

Calls, texts and email

If you gave permission on the form, we may call or text you about your inquiry. Those messages are sent personally, not by an automated system. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply and frequency varies. You can withdraw permission at any time by replying STOP or emailing us.

If you did not give that permission, we will reply by email instead.

At present this site does not send marketing email. Guides requested here are delivered on screen immediately after you submit the form, not by email. If you tick the separate optional box on a guide form, that permission may be used for occasional updates in future, and every such message will carry a way to unsubscribe.

Submitting any form generates a notification to Tim so your inquiry is seen.

Who your information is shared with

Form submissions are transmitted to and stored in Supabase, our database provider, and may be routed through Zapier into BoldTrail, the customer relationship system used to manage client communication. This site is hosted by SiteGround. Each of these providers processes data on our behalf.

Information may also be shared with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Carolinas Realty as required by the brokerage relationship, and with others where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

How your information is stored

Form submissions are held in a database configured so that only a privileged server credential can read or write them. Anonymous and public access is blocked at the database level rather than only in the application. The database credential is not stored in the website’s code.

No system is perfectly secure, and no assurance of absolute security is offered here.

Your choices

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing tim@qchomeadvisors.com. Some records may need to be retained where a real estate transaction or a legal obligation requires it.

You can withdraw call and text permission at any time. You can control cookies through your browser at any time.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated when the site changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision, and it is generated from the page itself rather than typed by hand, so it cannot silently go stale.
